Problem calling PLDT Customer service and work around.


Today March 9, 2012. I tried calling PLDT Customer service for a Repair. I pressed 3 for the Repair Menu and it asked me to enter my area code and telephone number. And so I did. First atempt was failed, it says "Sorry you have not enter the correct reply at the allowed time, Please enter your area code and your telephone number."


I'm sure that I did enter my area code and telephone number correctly. And so I tried it again. Still it fails, it gives me the same error message. I tried again the 3rd time and as expected, it is still a failure attempt. This time it says "Sorry, you have exceeded the allowed number of attempts, Good bye". (What a pain!).

The fix
I tried calling PLDT Customer Service again (171), First attempt (Failed). Second attempt, On purpose I entered an incorrect random numbers and it asked me to input it again, this time my call was successful. Hoooray!

I'm not sure if this work around will work with the other PLDT IVRs too. But it's worth a try.
